The 9 A AC-3 rating covers motors up to 4 kW at 400 V; step up to the next LE1D frame size in the same enclosure style rather than running this one above its rated current. The starter ships with the LC1D contactor pre-wired but deliberately omits a thermal overload relay — add one sized to the motor's full-load current before commissioning, since the enclosure gives no overload protection without it. The IP65/IK07 polycarbonate housing with ISO cable glands suits wall or machine mounting in washdown or dusty areas without a separate enclosure.
