- Description
The Schneider Electric BCH18MM0813CF6C is the braked, multi-turn-encoder version of Schneider's 850 W Easy Lexium 18 BCH18 servo motor, rated for 5.39 N·m continuous stall torque at 1500 rpm nominal speed on a 130 mm flange. Its 20.0 N·m holding brake is sized well above the motor's own stall torque, so it can hold a loaded vertical axis stationary once the LXM18 drive is de-energized.

Selection Notes
The BCH18MM0813CF6C adds a 20.0 N·m holding brake to the BCH18MM0813CA6C's 850 W, multi-turn-encoder motor — brake torque nearly four times the 5.39 N·m stall rating, so it secures a vertical or clamped M130-frame axis the instant the LXM18 drive is disabled. The multi-turn encoder means the controller never has to re-home the axis after a power cycle, which matters for machines that must resume mid-sequence rather than restart from a reference point. The brake adds 1.5 kg of net weight over the brake-less sibling, rising from 6.85 kg to 8.35 kg, while torque, current and shaft dimensions stay identical between the two. Rotor inertia rises only slightly, from 14.0 to 14.7 kg.cm², since the brake disc contributes little additional rotating mass.
