The 3AR3 variant runs from 100-240 V AC, 85-264 V range, instead of 24 V DC, and it carries cULus approval like its DC-powered hazardous-location sibling but without ATEX/UKEX/IECEx/CCC-Ex hazardous-area listing, so it fits a standard AC-distribution cabinet outside classified zones. Its 46 W power loss and 0.15 A draw are higher than the DC-fed variants because of the internal AC/DC conversion stage, and the IEC C14 power inlet plus 177 mm depth, 33 mm deeper than the DC models, needs to be accounted for in the rack layout. Choose the AC-powered sibling without cULus if North American listing isn't required, or a 24 V DC variant if the cabinet already runs DC control power.
