The Siemens SCALANCE 6GK5204-2AA00-2BD2 (XF204-2BA IRT) is a managed PROFINET IRT switch with four 10/100 Mbit/s ports and two bus adapter interfaces for fiber or copper media modules. It runs PROFINET conformity class C with network load class II and integrates a redundancy manager for MRP, HRP and PRP ring topologies, powered from a redundant 24 V DC supply.

The 6GK5204-2AA00-2BD2 is Siemens' compact 4-port PROFINET IRT switch for machine-level segments where isochronous real-time traffic needs conformity class C support - choose it over a standard RT switch (conformity class B) when the automation cell runs cyclic PROFINET IRT with a fixed communication cycle. The two bus adapter interfaces let the port media, copper or fiber, be selected per interface module instead of being fixed at the switch level, useful when mixing a fiber backbone with copper drops on the same unit. Redundant 24 V DC inputs and the integrated redundancy manager (MRP, HRP, PRP) support a fail-safe ring topology without an external controller.
