The Siemens SCALANCE XCM108PoE 6GK5108-0RA00-2AC2 is an unmanaged 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch for PROFINET Class A networks. Every RJ45 port runs 10/100/1000 Mbit/s and supplies Power over Ethernet under IEEE 802.3at, up to 30 W per port and 120 W total. Two DC power inputs, rated 24 V and 54 V, both accept a 19.2-55 V range, so a single supply failure doesn't take the switch down.

Selection Notes

This Gigabit variant replaces the Fast Ethernet XCM108PoE (FE) where an uplink or a connected camera needs more than 100 Mbit/s, while keeping the same 120 W PoE budget and IP20 enclosure. The dual 19.2-55 V DC inputs mean either the 24 V or the 54 V rail alone can carry the switch, useful when standardizing on a 48-54 V cabinet bus instead of 24 V. Choose the SFP-equipped XCM108PoE (6 x Gbit PoE, 2xSFP) sibling instead if fiber uplink or 10 Gbit/s connectivity is needed.

Applications

Gigabit PoE ports suit PROFINET drives, high-resolution IP cameras, and wireless access points that saturate a 100 Mbit/s link. The -40 to +60 °C range and IP20 rating fit cabinet or enclosed-panel mounting.
