- Description
The Siemens SCALANCE XCM332 (6GK5332-0GA01-2AC2) is a managed Layer 2 industrial Ethernet switch with 32 RJ45 ports for 10/100/1000 Mbit/s, a PROFINET IO device interface, and an included Layer 3 upgrade license. It runs on a 24 V DC supply with a dual terminal-block input for redundant power, operates fanless from -40 to +60 degrees C, and mounts on a DIN rail, S7-300, or S7-1500 rail.

Selection Notes
The included Layer 3 upgrade license is the deciding difference from the XC332: it enables inter-VLAN routing on the same 32-port hardware without a separate license purchase. Network load class II (versus class III on the XC332) means it targets segments with moderate rather than maximum cyclic PROFINET load. IEEE 1588 v2 transparent forwarding is available for time-synchronized applications the plain XC332 does not list.
