What is a gBat fuse?

gBat is a fuse class for battery systems. It is rated for high DC voltage and clears fault current from stored energy.

Why does the L/R value matter?

L/R is the circuit time constant. A higher value makes the DC arc harder to extinguish, so the fuse breaking capacity is stated at a set L/R.
