Selection Notes

The rated output is only 20 mA, so this module is sized for low-power actuators such as solenoid pilots or intrinsically-safe indicator circuits in a hazardous area, not general-purpose switching. Parallel switching of two outputs for uprating is explicitly not possible for Ex reasons, which rules out doubling current capacity the way a non-Ex module might allow. The integrated intrinsically-safe H-shutdown input is a dedicated safety-shutdown channel separate from the 4 standard DO channels, and its own Ex parameters (Ui 28 V, Pi 1.2 W, Ci 3 nF) must be checked against the connected field circuit during loop calculation.
