The Siemens 6SL5510-1BE15-0AA0 is a SINAMICS S200 servo drive with pulse train input (PTI), rated 5.00 kW on a 3AC 380-480V supply and delivering a 12.6 A rated output current (IN) with a 38.8 A max. output current. It is built in frame size D (95x260x230 mm) with IP20/UL open protection.

PTI (pulse train input) means this drive takes its position reference directly as a step/direction or A/B pulse train, not over PROFINET, so it fits control cabinets built around a motion controller that only outputs pulse commands. The 12.6 A rated output current against a 38.8 A max. output current gives roughly 3x short-term headroom for acceleration and load spikes on the 5.00 kW motor. Operation is rated to 55 C, but the drive derates above 45 C, so cabinet cooling should be sized to keep ambient at or below 45 C where continuous full-load operation is expected. IP20/UL open protection means it is for enclosed cabinet mounting only.

Applications

Retrofitting or building single-axis positioning stations, such as indexing tables or pick-and-place axes, where the existing motion controller issues step/direction pulses and a full PROFINET fieldbus upgrade is not part of the project scope.
