The double-axis layout is the reason to choose this module over a single motor module: two 9 A outputs share one DC-link connection and one DRIVE-CLiQ topology slot, which cuts Book Size rack width on machines with two similarly sized axes. The Extended Safety Integrated support lets both axes implement STO/SS1-type safety functions without an external safety relay. Because Imax is limited to 27 A per axis against a 9 A rated current, this module suits intermittent-duty axes rather than continuous full-load running near the overload ceiling.
