The Siemens 6GT2002-0LA00 RF120C is an RFID communication module that mounts directly on the S7-1200 backplane bus and connects one RF200/300/1000, MV300/400/500, or MOBY D/U reader through a 9-pin sub-D port. It runs the point-to-point link at up to 115.2 kbit/s over RS422/RS232 and carries IP20 protection for cabinet mounting.

Selection Notes

The RF120C is the S7-1200-specific reader interface: it plugs straight onto the S7-1200 backplane bus instead of needing a separate PROFINET drop, which suits a small standalone station built around that controller. Its 115.2 kbit/s serial link and single reader port cover one read point; a station on an S7-1500 or needing Ethernet-based PROFINET connectivity instead should use the RF1xxC modules (RF185C/RF186C/RF188C) rather than the RF120C.
