The Siemens 6GT2002-0JE60 RF188CI is an RFID communication module that connects 4 RF200/300/1000 or MV300/400/500 readers to PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or OPC UA over Industrial Ethernet at 100 Mbit/s and 8 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs (M12, A-coded, IO-Link expansion). It also provides an RS422/RS232 point-to-point serial link at up to 921.6 kbit/s per reader channel and carries IP67 protection for direct field mounting close to the read points and local I/O.

Combining four reader ports with an onboard 8 DI/8 DO set makes the RF188CI the choice for a multi-lane station that also needs to switch gates, lamps, or rejects locally, avoiding a separate PLC I/O drop next to the RFID nodes. Drop to the RF188C if no local I/O is required, or to the RF186CI if only two reader positions are needed; up to two of the four reader ports can take an RF1000 or MV300 head.
