- Description
The Siemens 6EP4295-8HB00-0XY0 is a SITOP BUF8600 buffer module that plugs into a SITOP PSU8600 power supply and uses maintenance-free double-layer capacitors to hold a 40 A load for 10 seconds during a mains interruption. It recharges in about 10 minutes at 400 V and reports buffer status over Ethernet/PROFINET through the PSU8600, giving a longer bridge than the shorter-duration modules in the same buffer-module line.

Selection Notes
This is the longest ride-through in the 40 A BUF8600 buffer-module line, trading a larger 125 x 125 x 150 mm enclosure and a roughly 10-minute recharge at 400 V for extra bridging time versus the shorter-duration variants. Choose it when downstream PLCs or drives need a longer controlled-shutdown or generator-start window rather than just riding out a momentary sag, since 10 seconds at the full 40 A rating covers a sustained dip that a sub-second buffer would not.
