- Description
The Siemens 6EP4437-7FB00-3CX0 is a SITOP SEL1200 selectivity module with 4 independently adjustable output channels, distributing a 24 V DC / 40 A input across 4 outputs each rated up to 10 A with a current threshold adjustable from 2 to 10 A via potentiometer. It trips the affected channel on overcurrent (approx. 30 ms at 2x setpoint) while leaving the other 3 channels running, at 98% typical efficiency.

Selection Notes
The 4 independently adjustable channels (2-10 A each via potentiometer) are the reason to choose this over a fixed-threshold distribution block: each output's trip point can be set to match the actual load on that branch, so a fault on one channel drops only that branch instead of the whole 40 A bus. It sits downstream of a SITOP power supply, not in place of one - sizing depends on matching the 40 A input rating to the upstream supply's output. The push-in terminal connection method speeds up panel wiring versus a screw-terminal selectivity block, worth noting when specifying a large distribution panel with many modules.
Applications
Segments a single 24 V DC power supply into 4 individually protected branch circuits for PLC I/O, sensor groups, or valve banks, so a short circuit or overload on one branch does not take down the rest of the control system.
