- Description
The Siemens 6EP1931-2DC42 is a SITOP DC UPS module rated 24 V DC / 6 A output, drawing 22...29 V DC / 6 A at the input, that bridges mains power cuts with a connected battery module. It reaches 95% efficiency at rated output and adds a USB interface for status and configuration on top of floating relay contacts.

Selection Notes
This is the 6 A member of the SITOP DC UPS family with a USB interface, which lets a PC log battery status and set the buffer response voltage instead of relying on the floating relay contacts alone. Pick the serial-interface variant if the downstream controller reads status over RS-232 rather than USB, or a higher-current variant in the same family when the load draws more than 6 A. The 1 s startup delay and 60 ms voltage rise time matter when sizing the module ahead of PLCs or drives that need a stable 24 V rail before they boot.
Applications
Bridges the 24 V DC control supply for PLCs, remote I/O, and HMI panels through short mains interruptions until standby generators start or the supply recovers, using a separately ordered battery module for energy storage.
