The Schneider Electric ABL8BUF24400 is a Phaseo buffer module that bridges short mains interruptions for 24 V DC automation loads. Rated for 40 A continuous output with a 24-28.8 V DC input, it holds 40 A for 0.1 s or 0.5 A for up to 6 s during a supply dropout, without batteries. It mounts on 35 mm DIN rail alongside an ABL8RP or ABL8WP power supply.

Selection Notes

Pick the ABL8BUF24400 when a 24 V DC control loop needs to ride through millisecond-scale sags or a brief mains loss without adding a battery bank; its 40 A continuous rating means it will not become the current-limiting element between an ABL8RP or ABL8WP power supply and the load. Use the redundancy module in the same series instead when the requirement is covering the failure of one of two parallel supplies rather than a ride-through buffer.
