The Schneider Electric LC1E40BD is an Easy TeSys 3-pole (3NO) contactor rated 40 A AC-3 at up to 440 V, switching 18.5 kW motors at 400 V with a 24 V DC coil and 1 NO + 1 NC built-in auxiliary contact. Power and control circuits both terminate on screw-clamp terminals, and the contactor carries a rated breaking capacity of 340 A at 440 V. It is rated for -5 to 55 degrees Celsius operation without derating up to 3000 m altitude.

Selection Notes

Size the LC1E40BD to motors up to 18.5 kW at 400 V where the 40 A AC-3 rating applies continuously; the 60 A AC-1 figure is for resistive switching only and should not be used to size a motor branch. The built-in 1 NO + 1 NC auxiliary contact covers basic status or interlock wiring without a separate add-on block; where the opposite contact logic is needed, the sibling built with the mirrored NO/NC arrangement keeps the same frame and terminal layout. For loads above 18.5 kW at 400 V, the next current rating in the Easy TeSys line keeps the same screw-clamp wiring style.
