The Siemens 6ES7152-1AA00-0AB0 IM152-1 DP is the PROFIBUS DP interface module for the SIMATIC ET 200iSP intrinsically-safe I/O station, connecting it to the fieldbus at up to 1.5 Mbit/s with redundant-operation support. Rated Ex ib IIC T4 Gb and Ex ib I Mb, it is built for Zone 1 gas and underground mining hazardous areas where the station itself sits inside the explosion zone.

Selection Notes

The IM152-1 DP is the interface module for the ET 200iSP zone-1/zone-2 intrinsically-safe I/O station; it does not carry I/O itself, so specify it once per ET 200iSP rack alongside the actual I/O modules, not per channel. Ex ib IIC T4 Gb for gas and Ex ib I Mb for mining mean the module itself can sit inside the hazardous zone, not just drive intrinsically-safe field wiring from outside it. Redundant operation and slave-to-slave direct data exchange let it participate in a PROFIBUS DP redundant-master configuration for continuous-process applications where a bus fault cannot stop the loop.
