- Description
The Siemens LOGO! AM2 RTD (6ED1055-1MD00-0BA2) is a 2-channel analog input expansion module for the LOGO! 8 logic module family, accepting Pt100/Pt1000 resistance temperature sensors over a -50 C to +200 C range. It runs from a 12 V DC or 24 V DC supply, 10.8-28.8 V DC, drawing 30 mA typical, mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail, and carries an IP20 enclosure rating.

Selection Notes
This RTD variant reads Pt100/Pt1000 temperature sensors directly in 2- or 3-wire connection, unlike LOGO! analog modules built for voltage or current signals — choose it specifically when the application needs temperature feedback, such as motor winding or ambient monitoring, rather than pressure or level transducers. The -20 C to 55 C operating range and DIN-rail IP20 housing suit control-panel mounting alongside the LOGO! 8 base unit, not direct field exposure.
Applications
Used to add direct RTD temperature sensing to a LOGO! 8 based control system — HVAC, small process skids, and utility monitoring panels — where a couple of temperature points are needed without a separate PLC analog card.
