The Siemens 6ED1055-1FB10-0BA2 is a LOGO! 8 DM16 230R expansion module that adds 8 AC/DC digital inputs and 8 relay outputs to a LOGO! base unit, supplied from 115/230 V AC or 100-253 V DC. Each relay output switches up to 5 A resistive or 3 A inductive load, and the module mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail alongside the LOGO! CPU.

The DM16 230R's relay outputs handle both AC and DC loads up to 5 A resistive, which a LOGO! transistor-output DM16 24 variant cannot do -- pick this version when the expansion needs to switch a 230 V AC contactor coil or lamp circuit directly rather than through an interposing relay. Its AC/DC-type inputs also accept 230 V AC signals natively, so field wiring from mechanical switches or thermostats doesn't need a separate 24 V DC signal source. The 2 Hz maximum switching frequency on resistive loads reflects the mechanical relay's response time and rules this module out for high-cycle-rate applications; a transistor DM16 24 module suits those instead.
