The Siemens 6ES7921-3AM20-0AA0 is a SIMATIC TOP connect front connector module that replaces the standard front connector on the compact CPU 313C, 314C-2 PtP and 314C-2 DP for the S7-300. It feeds the X1 power supply through screw terminals and links to a 16-pole IDC connecting cable, rated 24 V DC at up to 1 A per plug-in contact.

This is the screw-terminal version for the compact CPU 313C/314C-2 family: the X1 power feed lands on 4 screw terminals (2 x L+, 2 x M) sized for 0.25-1.5 mm² stranded conductor, not crimp or push-in. The 16-pole IDC side takes one connecting cable up to 30 m back to a SIMATIC TOP connect terminal module, so the compact CPU's onboard I/O wiring stays off the front connector itself. Pick the push-in or crimp variant instead if the panel's wiring standard is not screw-terminal.
