Selection Notes

The 4-port unmanaged design and S7-1200 form factor make this module a fit inside a single S7-1200 station that needs up to 3 additional Ethernet drops (HMI, PC, or a further CPU) without a rack-mounted switch. PRP operation support lets it participate in a parallel-redundant network where the application requires it. Where more than 4 ports or managed diagnostics (VLAN, port mirroring, SNMP) are needed, a SCALANCE X-series managed switch is the better fit instead of this compact unmanaged module.
