Selection Notes

The CC712's single lower-level device limit and 500-data-point ceiling make it a fit for connecting one PLC station to the cloud; a line with several controllers or more than 500 tags needs the CC716's 7-device, 3500-point capacity instead. Its OPC UA server accepts up to 10 client connections against a 1500-variable limit, so the practical ceiling is usually the variable count rather than the connection count. DIN-rail, S7-300 rail, S7-1500 rail and wall mounting are all supported, so it drops into an existing control cabinet without extra hardware.
