Selection Notes

This board only makes sense on installations where the RTC must survive extended power-off periods beyond the CPU's own 480-hour capacitor backup; short outages don't need it. Because it plugs into the signal-board slot rather than a full expansion slot, adding it does not reduce the CPU's signal-module or communication-module count. The CR1025 battery ships separately, so it has to be ordered alongside this board to be functional.
