At 18 W active power and 2.482 kg, the TP900 sits between the smaller TP700 and larger Comfort panels in the same PROFINET/PROFIBUS DP family — choose it over the 7-inch TP700 when the application needs more on-screen elements per view (40 configurable direct-key touch buttons versus 32 on the TP700) without stepping up to a 12-inch or larger panel. The combined MPI/PROFIBUS DP port still lets it bridge to PROFIBUS-based S7-300/400 controllers or drives alongside PROFINET, unlike PROFINET-only Comfort panels. ATEX/IECEx Zone 2/22 and FM Class I Division 2 approvals also make it usable near the edge of a hazardous area.
