The combined MPI/PROFIBUS DP port alongside PROFINET is the distinguishing feature of this TP700 Comfort variant: it lets the panel talk to a PROFIBUS-based S7-300/400 controller or drive network as well as a PROFINET S7-1200/1500, which the PROFINET-only Comfort panels in the same screen size cannot do.
