- Description
The Schneider Electric LUCL32BL is a TeSys U magnetic control unit that inserts into the LUB32 and LUB38 power base to form a complete starter-controller for 3-phase motors up to 15 kW at 400-440 V AC. It gives adjustable short-circuit protection over a 8-32 A rated current range at an overcurrent threshold of 14.2 x Ir, and is powered from a 24 V DC control circuit.

Selection Notes
Pick the LUCL32BL by matching its 8-32 A adjustment range to the full-load current of the motor, not the motor's nameplate power alone, since the dial sets the short-circuit trip point rather than an overload curve. The 24 V DC control circuit voltage must match the coil supply available at the starter; overload protection itself is supplied separately by the drive or soft starter the unit is paired with, since this control module only provides short-circuit protection and manual reset.
