Schneider Electric LUCL12ES TeSys U Standard Control Unit 3-12 A 48 V AC/48-72 V DC Motor Starter Module

The Schneider Electric LUCL12ES is a TeSys U magnetic control unit that inserts into the LUB12, LUB32, and LUB38 power base to form a complete starter-controller for 3-phase motors up to 5.5 kW at 400-440 V AC. It gives adjustable short-circuit protection over a 3-12 A rated current range at an overcurrent threshold of 14.2 x Ir, and is powered from a 48 V AC / 48-72 V DC control circuit.

Selection Notes

Pick the LUCL12ES by matching its 3-12 A adjustment range to the full-load current of the motor, not the motor's nameplate power alone, since the dial sets the short-circuit trip point rather than an overload curve. The 48 V AC / 48-72 V DC control circuit voltage must match the coil supply available at the starter; overload protection itself is supplied separately by the drive or soft starter the unit is paired with, since this control module only provides short-circuit protection and manual reset.
