- Description
The Schneider Electric GV2LE22 is a TeSys Deca GV2 manual motor circuit breaker with a fixed magnetic trip unit set for a 25 A line current and a 388.3 A magnetic tripping point. Rated for 690 V AC, it delivers a 15 kA breaking capacity at 400/415 V (dropping to 3 kA at 690 V) and protects motor branches up to 9-11 kW at 400/415 V without a built-in thermal overload function.

Selection Notes
The magnetic-only trip unit protects against short circuits and locked-rotor surges but carries no thermal overload element, so a separate overload relay or self-protected motor is needed for continuous overload coverage. Breaking capacity falls off sharply with voltage: 15 kA at 400/415 V versus 3 kA at 690 V, so on 690 V feeders it should be backed by upstream fault-current limiting. At 25 A it is the top rating in the GV2LE line covering motors up to 18.5 kW at 690 V; lower-current variants in the same GV2LE range suit smaller motors.
Applications
Used as a motor branch disconnector and short-circuit protector ahead of a contactor in TeSys motor starter combinations for pumps, compressors and conveyor drives on 35 mm DIN rail.
