Schneider Electric GV2LE03 TeSys Deca Magnetic 3P 0.4 A 100 kA Motor Protection Circuit Breaker (MPCB)

The Schneider Electric GV2LE03 is a TeSys Deca motor circuit breaker with magnetic-only protection, rated 0.4 A and 100 kA Icu at 400/415 V across 3 poles. It trips on short circuit at roughly 13x its rated current and gives manual isolation and start-stop control through a toggle, leaving thermal overload protection to a separate LRD relay.

Selection Notes

Use the GV2LE03 where the motor branch already has separate thermal overload protection (an LRD relay) and the circuit breaker only needs to clear short circuits — the magnetic-only trip unit has no adjustable thermal range, so it will not protect the motor against sustained overcurrent on its own. The toggle gives 100,000 AC-3 start-stop cycles, matching GV2 siblings that add thermal-magnetic protection (GV2ME/GV2P) in the same frame size. Fixed magnetic tripping also means the GV2LE03 does not need re-setting when the motor is changed for one of a similar locked-rotor current, unlike an adjustable thermal dial.
