How to choose

• Rated current: size to the cable and the load, not above the cable rating.
• Trip curve: B for long cables, C for general use, D for high inrush loads.
• Breaking capacity: 3 kA, 4.5 kA, 6 kA or 10 kA, at or above the prospective short-circuit current.
• Poles: 1P to 4P according to the supply system. Standard: IEC 60898-1.

FAQ

What does the C in a C32 MCB mean?

C is the trip curve. The magnetic release trips between 5 and 10 times the rated current, which suits general loads. 32 is the rated current in amperes.

Can an MCB from one brand sit on another brand's busbar?

DIN-rail mounting is common, but busbars and accessories are brand-specific. Check compatibility before mixing.
