M12 D-coded Ethernet and A-coded power replace the RJ45 variant's screw terminals and RJ45 jacks, so this is the choice for cable runs that need a locking, sealed connector rather than a control-cabinet termination. Conformal coating and the -30 to +65 degrees C range extend the base W774-1 RJ45 for condensation- or vibration-heavy installations such as vehicle-mounted or outdoor gantry radios. FM 3611 Class I Division 2 carries over from the RJ45 model, so hazardous-area suitability is unchanged. Choose the plain W774-1 RJ45 instead when the panel already provides RJ45 patching and the extended temperature range is not needed.
