Selection Notes

The dual 230 V AC feed on this variant gives the switch a redundant power supply unit, so a single feeder or breaker fault does not take the switch offline - the reason to pick it over the single-feed 3AR2 in any application where the switch itself is a single point of failure for the cell. It shares the same 24 W rated power loss, 0.6 A max draw, and -25 to +60 °C operating range as the 3AR2, so the only trade-off for the dual feed is the extra 0.3 kg of net weight and the second AC circuit to run to the rack. Choose the DC-fed 2AR2 or 8GS00-2AR2 instead where 24 V DC distribution with its own redundancy already exists at the panel.
