The Siemens 6GK1500-0FC10 is a PROFIBUS FC RS 485 bus connector with a 180-degree FastConnect cable outlet, rated for PROFIBUS transfer rates from 9.6 kbit/s up to 12 Mbit/s. It provides 2 insulation-displacement terminals for PB FC installation cable plus a 9-pin Sub-D connector to the node, with an integrated slide-switch terminating resistor that isolates the outgoing bus when engaged.

Selection Notes

The integrated slide-switch terminating resistor means this connector doubles as a bus-end terminator without a separate part - engage it only on the two physical ends of a PROFIBUS segment, since a mid-segment termination corrupts the bus. The 180-degree cable outlet suits panels where the drop cable must run parallel to the device housing rather than straight out the back; a 90-degree variant exists for tighter enclosures.

Applications

Terminating or extending PROFIBUS DP segments on PLCs, drives, HMIs, or OLM repeaters at any of the standard 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s transfer rates.
