The Siemens SCALANCE XCH108PoE 6GK5108-2RS00-2FC2 is an unmanaged 8-port switch with painted printed circuit boards for harsh-environment protection, 6x Gigabit RJ45 PoE ports, and 2x SFP cages for 1 or 10 Gbit/s uplinks. PoE runs under IEEE 802.3at, up to 30 W per port and 120 W total. Two DC power inputs, rated 24 V and 54 V, both cover a 19.2-55 V range.

The letter H in XCH108PoE marks the conformal-coated board version of the standard XCM108PoE (G, 2x SFP) switch, meant for cabinets exposed to condensation, dust, or corrosive atmospheres that would otherwise shorten a bare-board switch's life. Port layout, PoE budget, and the dual 19.2-55 V DC redundant supply are identical to the uncoated sibling, so the coating is the only reason to pay the price difference. Choose the standard XCM108PoE (G, 2x SFP) instead for a clean cabinet environment where the extra protection isn't needed.
