The Siemens 6AV7674-1LA51-0AA0 is a 19-inch hardwired extension unit for SIMATIC HMI panels, adding 10 mountable control-element slots to any fully IP65-enclosed 16:9 HMI or IPC PRO device. Control elements wire in directly through 12-pin LED and 16-pin contact connectors instead of a network link, and the unit runs on a 24V DC supply drawing only 10 mA with no load attached.

Selection Notes

Hardwiring each of the 10 control-element positions through the 12-pin LED and 16-pin contact connectors avoids any dependency on the panel's network link, at the cost of running discrete cable back to the controller for every pushbutton and lamp. Its 10 mA draw is a fraction of the PROFINET variant's 150 mA, which matters on 19-inch panels already tight on 24V DC budget. Pick the PROFINET version instead when the control elements should report status over the network rather than through hardwired I/O.
