The Siemens 6EP3333-7SC00-0AX0 is a SITOP PSU6200 Ex 24V/5A stabilized power supply for use in or near hazardous locations, converting a 120-240V AC input to 24V DC at up to 5A (6A to 45C) with 90.2% efficiency. It carries ATEX and IECEx Ex ec IIC T3 Gc ratings, coated printed circuit boards, and snaps onto a standard 35mm DIN rail.

Selection Notes

Pick the Ex-rated PSU6200 specifically when the power supply chassis itself will sit inside or adjacent to a Zone 2/22 hazardous area under ATEX II 3G / IECEx Gc, not merely because it powers field devices located there. The adjustable 24-28V output via potentiometer lets the voltage be trimmed up to compensate for cable drop on long 24V DC runs to remote instrumentation. The 6A rating only applies up to 45C ambient; above that the 5A continuous rating governs, so cabinet cooling should be checked against actual installation temperature. Coated printed circuit boards add resistance to the corrosive or condensing atmospheres common in Ex-zone process areas.
