The Siemens 6EP4145-8GB00-0XY0 is a SITOP BAT8600 lead-acid battery module that stores 380 W-h at 48 V DC for the SITOP UPS8600 uninterruptible power system, delivering 20 A rated output current. Its maintenance-free sealed lead-acid cells bridge about 10 minutes at a 960 W system load, and up to five modules can be paralleled to extend backup time.

Service life on this chemistry drops off faster with heat than a typical DIN-rail accessory: 8 years at 10 C falls to just 6 months at 50 C, so placement away from heat-generating equipment is the main lever for reaching the rated life. At a 960 W system load the module bridges about 10 minutes; at 480 W that stretches to 25 minutes, a useful reference when matching bridging time to the actual downstream load rather than the full 40 A system rating. Up to five BAT8600 modules can be paralleled on the same UPS8600 bus to extend runtime without adding a separate charger.
