- Description
CA3KN22ED is Schneider Electric's TeSys K control relay in a 2NO+2NC arrangement, built around a 48 V DC coil with electronic surge suppression and rated 10 A Ith at up to 690 V. It is rated for AC-15/DC-13 duty, used to control and duplicate pilot signals in motor control and interlocking circuits, and connects via screw clamp terminals on DIN rail or a mounting plate.

Selection Notes
Choose the 2NO+2NC version when the application needs an equal number of make and break signals, useful for interlocking circuits that must mirror a command and its complement. The 48 V DC coil variant fits control circuits already wired at that voltage, so the contactor coil can be driven directly without an additional transformer tap. The DC coil has no inrush surge and a longer 30–40 ms closing time than the AC-coil CA2Kseries, which electronic surge suppression trades for lower steady-state power draw — relevant when the relay is driven from a PLC transistor output or a current-limited 24 V DC rail.
