Selection Notes

The MicroLogic 1.3 M trip unit gives this NSX400F It provides no thermal overload (L) function of its own, so it is paired with a separate motor overload relay for thermal protection; use it where short-circuit and short-time protection is wanted ahead of a motor starter that already has its own overload device. At 36 kA Icu, the F-frame breaking capacity sets how close to the transformer the breaker can sit; choose the 2.3 M sibling in the same frame when the opposite combination of built-in overload and trip-class control is needed.
