Schneider Electric TR63D3R6302TPE TransferPacT Remotely Operated 3P 630 A 230 V Automatic Transfer Switch

The Schneider Electric TR63D3R6302TPE is a 3-pole, 630 A TransferPacT automatic transfer switch built on the 630 A frame, rated for remote (motorised) operation at 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz. Driven by an external controller rather than a built-in display, it switches the load between two power sources, carrying a 40 kA making capacity and a 20 kA/0.5 s short-time withstand current for coordination with upstream protection.

Selection Notes

Because the TR63D3R6302TPE is the remote-operated (TR) version, it has no built-in TPC controller: the transfer logic and I/O live in an external controller, so it suits installations that already standardise on one controller platform across several switches. The 3P version switches the three phase conductors, so it is the lower-cost choice for 3-wire distribution. On the 630 A frame, the 630 A rating covers industrial and commercial buildings, data centres, healthcare facilities and transportation sites that need a sized-for-load source-change device rather than a built-in controller. The 20 kA/0.5 s short-time withstand current sets how long it can carry a downstream fault before the upstream breaker must clear it, which is the figure to check against the protection device's tripping curve.
