The Schneider Electric LV481010 Vigirex RHB is a DIN-rail-mounting residual current protection relay rated 100 to 250 V AC/DC, with earth-leakage sensitivity adjustable from 30 mA to 3 A and a delay adjustable from instantaneous up to 10 s. It is a type B relay, so it detects smooth DC residual currents in addition to AC and pulsating DC, and trips the associated circuit breaker via a compatible type B toroid when the set threshold is exceeded.

The RHB is the DIN-rail, type B member of the Vigirex family, built for cabinets where a front-panel cutout isn't wanted; the front-panel-mount RHUs/RHU cover type A applications instead. Its type B class is the deciding factor versus the type A relays: pick the RHB where downstream equipment (variable speed drives, UPS, EV chargers) can generate smooth DC earth-fault currents that a type A relay cannot detect. Continuous self-monitoring of the electronics, power supply and sensor link, combined with remote reset, suits unattended installations where a latent relay fault needs to be flagged rather than discovered at the next real fault.
