Selection Notes
The LO (low overload) rating of 37 kW covers pump and fan loads that only need 110% overload for 57 s, while the HO (high overload) rating of 30 kW is the figure to size against for conveyor or extrusion loads that need 150% for 3 s. Choose this frame over the lower-current PM240-2 variants in the same series when the driven motor's full-load current exceeds roughly 62 A; the built-in braking chopper removes the need for an external chopper module when a braking resistor is added for fast-stop or overhauling-load applications. The module ships without a control unit, so a CU240 or CU250S-2 control unit and an operator panel must be ordered separately to run the drive.
Applications
