- Description
The Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP BaseUnit BU15-P16+A0+12D/T (6ES7193-6BP40-0DA1) is a Type A1 base unit with push-in terminals, 2x5 add-on terminals, and integrated temperature-sensor wiring, starting a new potential group at 24 V DC / 10 A. It carries the I/O module plugged into slot 1 and passes P1/P2 bus power to the next base unit in the ET 200SP station.

Selection Notes
This Type A1 base unit starts a new potential group, isolated at 707 V DC type-test, and adds 2x5 extra terminals plus temperature-sensor wiring that a plain Type A1 base unit without AUX/temperature terminals does not provide - choose it where the I/O module needs external temperature-compensation wiring or where the panel design calls for a fresh 24 V DC potential group at this point in the station. The 10 A P1/P2 bus rating and 2 A per process-terminal rating set the load the base unit can carry to downstream stations and field wiring respectively.
Applications
Building out an ET 200SP remote I/O station where a module needs its own potential group, added terminals for auxiliary wiring, or temperature-sensor connections - common on analog/RTD input modules and mixed digital I/O racks in distributed control cabinets.
