Selection Notes
The 8 A total-current rating only holds up to 40 °C horizontal installation; at 60 °C it derates to 4 A, so a fully-loaded 16-channel module (16 x 0.5 A = 8 A) needs the cooler end of that range, and vertical mounting caps out lower still at 4 A by 50 °C. Where cabinet temperature runs hot or all 16 channels switch simultaneously, an 8-channel module at the same 0.5 A per-channel rating leaves more thermal margin. Electronic short-circuit protection at 0.7-1.3 A and per-channel wire-break/short-circuit diagnostics apply identically to every channel, so wiring and commissioning follow the same pattern regardless of channel count.
