Selection Notes

This module reads sink-type (PNP, P-reading) sensors; if the field devices are 2-wire NPN or source-type, a sourcing-input module in the same ET 200SP family is needed instead. The 0.05-20 ms parameterizable input delay lets fast switching signals be filtered per channel without a separate debounce circuit, and the module mounts only on BaseUnit type A0.

Applications

Reads 24V DC PNP field signals - proximity switches, limit switches, and pushbuttons - into a SIMATIC ET 200SP distributed I/O station on a PROFINET or PROFIBUS line.
