Schneider Electric XB4BS9442 Harmony XB4 Red Mushroom 40 mm Key Release 1NC Emergency Stop Push Button

The Schneider Electric XB4BS9442 is a Harmony XB4 emergency stop push button with a 40 mm red mushroom head and a metal bezel. Pressing it mechanically latches the 1NC contact block open until the operator clears it by withdrawing key no. 455 with key no. 455, and the sealed body carries IP66, IP67, IP69 and IP69K protection for installation in a standard 22.5 mm panel cutout.

Selection Notes

The XB4BS9442 resets only by withdrawing key no. 455: the mushroom head latches mechanically on impact and will not reset itself, so the circuit stays open until someone deliberately clears it with key no. 455 — that distinction matters when deciding who on the line is authorized to restart the machine. Its 1NC contact configuration sets how many circuits the e-stop can interrupt directly versus how many need to run through a safety relay. The 40 mm mushroom profile keeps the button reachable and visible at a distance, and the IP66/IP67/IP69/IP69K sealing means wash-down or outdoor mounting does not compromise the latching mechanism.
