Schneider Electric TPRPM038 TeSys Island TPRPM 38A 3P 18.5kW Power Interface Module

The Schneider Electric TPRPM038 is a TeSys island power module (device short name TPRPM) rated 38 A (AC-3) at up to 440 V, sized for motors up to 18.5 kW at 380-415 V. Connected to a TPRBC bus coupler, it delivers electronic thermal overload protection and current/voltage monitoring, and controls third-party power switching devices when paired with a TPRDG4X2 digital IO module.

Selection Notes

The 38 A AC-3 rating covers monitoring and protection of motors up to 18.5 kW at 380-415 V, with the thermal overload adjustable from 0.76 to 38 A across trip classes 5 to 30. Unlike the island's motor starters, the TPRPM038 carries no rated making or breaking capacity of its own - it is a protection and monitoring interface, and switching the load itself requires an external power device controlled through a paired TPRDG4X2 digital IO module. Current consumption of 60 mA and 0.9 W dissipation at Ie keep its share of the island's 24 V DC bus coupler power budget small even at this higher current. Choose a lower-current variant of this power module when monitoring and protecting a motor below 4 kW at 400 V.
