The Schneider Electric TM3DQ16U is a Modicon TM3 discrete output module that adds 16 NPN (sink) transistor outputs, rated 300 mA at 24V DC, to a Modicon M221, M241, M251 or M262 logic controller. Each channel switches in 450 µs and wires through a removable screw terminal block with 3.81 mm pitch.

Selection Notes

The TM3DQ16U sinks current on each of its 16 transistor outputs (NPN), switching 300 mA per channel in 450 µs versus the relay-output TM3DQ16R's 10 ms. Its higher tungsten load rating (< 9.6 W) suits small lamp loads better than the PNP TM3DQ16T (< 3 W). Where the downstream wiring uses positive (PNP/source) logic instead, the TM3DQ16T is the matching module; for an HE10 ribbon-cable connection with the same NPN logic, the TM3DQ16UK covers it in a narrower housing.
