Selection Notes

With a 4-32 V DC control input, the SSP1A475BDT is the variant for panels where the control signal comes from a PLC output, transmitter or low-voltage logic circuit rather than line voltage; the M7T-suffix variant in the same SSP1 range takes a 90-280 V AC input instead. Zero-voltage switching turns the SCR on only as the load waveform crosses zero, which limits inrush-related electrical noise and is the reason this relay is specified over a mechanical contactor for resistive heating loads that switch frequently. The 75 A rating and supplied thermal pad size the heatsink interface for continuous duty at rated current; derate the load current for higher ambient or reduced heatsink area.
